Zalco Laboratories, Inc. is currently seeking an Inorganics Analyst. The person in this position should have a degree in chemistry or related fields, with environmental laboratory experience.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Comprehend analytical methods with respect to the position. 
• Scheduling priority of samples to be analyzed to meet deadlines and maintain sample integrity.
• Analysis of samples according to Zalco Laboratories' standard operating procedures, and EPA guidelines.
• Operation, calibration, and maintenance of laboratory instruments.  
• Preparing appropriate standards to ensure compliant data.
• Batching and prepping samples for analysis taking into account special and varied client and QA requirements.
• Review peer's data for correctness and completeness.
• Enter samples into the Laboratory Information Management system.
• Construct and keep quality control charts.
• Ensure testing conforms to company's quality assurance protocols.

Requirements / Desired Experiences

• BS/BA Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or other related science. Education may be substituted for laboratory experience on a year-for-year basis.
• Strong knowledge of EPA methodologies. 
• Abilitity and willinginess to accomplish several assignments simultaneously; strong organizational skills.
• Attentiveness-to-detail a must.
• Ability to work independently after training.
• Good communication skills and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer skills.
