Zalco Laboratories was founded in 1979 by John Zaletel, Ph.D and Jim Etherton. What started as a small, independent testing lab for the petroleum industry in Central California quickly grew into a full-service, state-of-the-art testing facility. In February, 2011, Zalco was acquired by Mr. George Shaw, a retired U.S. Navy Commander with over 35 years in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Shaw and his ownership team collectively have over 70 years experience in oil and gas development, gathering and midstream pipelines, utility operations, natural gas marketing, and energy management services to C&I clients.  They understand the myriad challenges facing our energy and industrial clients as they pursue regulatory compliance within a challenging economic environment.
